Weather Dock+ Desktop forecast App Reviews

Skywatcher

It’s good. Quick and easy to see current and upcoming weather at a glance with more detail if I want. I agree with Dover Street Boy in that, “… would like to see Dates posted along with the day of the week!”.

After using the free version for a while, the upgrade was worth it

I use this all the time, so 4 dollars really isn’t too much to spend. The upgrade has better features and thankfully no adds! That was the really annoying part about the free version.

Love

I have been a fan of weather dock for a while now. I updated to Sierra and the app would no longer open, that lasted a few days until a fix was released. i am now back to loving it! Simple informative, beautiful and accurate worth every penny.

Okay App.

Seems to be accurate. Very, very basic. No radar so it is not good for severe weather.

Well worth the price!

I usually look for FREE apps as I am very frugal with my $$- That said, I have used this app through several updates. Each time it gets better. I use the app to plan my day. One great feature is the hourly forecast it offers. I also work a multi-state region, and the ability to pre-select the regions I work in and have them close is a real time-saver for me. This app is worth the price.

Perfect? No...

Perfect No! But that should be a pretty "High Bar” reserved for the very best. Weather Dock on the other hand, is an excellent little app that does exactly what it offers. Easy to set up and change on the fly, convienient, attractive and everything it offers works. Religiously! “Almost Perfect”? No.. Just Really Great. - MHM

Pretty good

I like that window goes away after you’re finished using it, but it would be nice if the window would appear when you command-tab to it. As it is, you have to click on the icon in the Dock every time you want to see the weather. Also, it’s smalll - really small. The main window is a rectangle that takes up 1/4th of the screen and the houly forecast window is even smaller than that. I’d like to see some preferences that would allow the windows to default to a larger size with bigger text/icons.

good stuff

Seems to be very good at predictability. It is reliable and up tp date.

Very good app

Shows the current temperature in the dock, which is the one big feature I need. Would increase rating to 5 stars if there was a way to make the temperature badge larger, like you can, for example, with mail badges in the third-party mail plug-in DockStar.

Outstanding!

After using ‘Weathman’, ‘Weathman Lite’ and Metorologist and having them all crap out. I decided to spend a couple of quid for this nifty little gadget. Whomever designed this softwared did a great job. I’m running a MAC OS 10.11 and this works flawlessly. The only suggestions I would make would be to add alerts when severe weather is approaching, i.e., lightening storms, severe snow storms, flood warning, tornados and the like. Also, maybe a map so one can see how where the storm-fronts are moving. Other than that, I have no complaints. I would recommend this to anone who wants an accurate weather app on their desktop, iPhone, iPad or whatever. Cheers from Wales! Cymru am byth!

Nice App

What I was looking for...

does not work

Just downloaded to my brand new MAC. Just give me a “error” pop up.

Great Weather App

Works very well, can store many locations plus it can find the local area where you are parked.

Good App

This is a good app and does what it says. My only complaint is that the Icon and temperature information can only be displayed on the Dock, where it is relativly small. I had a previous (discontinued) weather app that put the display on my desktop where I could the temp and condition from a distance without opening the app.

Update Quits

Just updated to version 3.5.2 and now app does not open. I’m on OS X 10.9.5

Fab

i lije this app

Love!

Easy to look at, easy to use! Just perfect for me!

very dependable,

I check it every day and it has seldom let me down, it is more accurate than the weather forecast on TV.

Simple and Easy

You can’t get anything as simple as this. I live in Berwyn, Illinois and the weather, because Lake Michigan only a few miles away, is up for grabs. I get it all with this simple free app; current temperature, wind chill if needed, forecast for the day, and hourly predictions (though to be truthful, more times than not the hourly is off). It’s better than the local weather people and I don’t have to sit through an entire news cycle and commercials to get it.

wunderground weather

is the best data….Just go to website if you need more frequent updates or more detail.
